Does Kanye know something we don't? (Getty) Kanye West shocked the Austin City Limits festival audience by (perhaps prematurely) announcing the demise of the Black Eyed Peas. Ray J got thrown out of a club for popping Fabolous in the face, maybe. And Justin Bieber loves Latin girls. These music types continue to fascinate.• Kanye West may soon be popping his pretty toes right back into his mouth, as he made an all-too revealing announcement during his Austin City Limits Festival performance of "All of the Lights" on Friday night.
According to The Boombox, West yelled, "Rest in peace to the Black Eyed Peas. You're gonna be missed!"
The statement came as a surprise to those who assumed that the BEP were in some sort brief but surmountable dormant phase. When asked about Kanye's proclamation, will.i.am tweeted to a fan, "maybe @kanyewest was stating the fact we will take a rest for a little bit...but we the @bep will never die...never...impossible."
Get that? The Black Eyed Peas are that couple that will break up and make up melodramatically for years.
FUN FACT: Ray J used to date Whitney Houston. • Speaking of melodrama, Brandy's little brother Ray J says he was in a fight with rapper Fabolous in Las Vegas last weekend, but Fabolous denies such an altercation ever happened and that it was the cocaine speaking. Yeah. Really.Apparently Ray J was upset with Fabolous for some joke Fab had made at his expense on Twitter. In Ray J's version of events, he was kicked out of the Palms hotel and casino after he landed a punch in Fabolous' face.
